you do not need to
pick the flowers
to make them yours–
help them grow,
and you will forever
be a part of them.

You’re welcome Chris – I just love the way you can say in a few words what it takes me a page to write! x
Beautifully expressed
Your way with words!enraptures the soul every time I read those few words inlaid with legions of meaning and perspectives.
thank you:)
Beautifully written! I see the image of the flowers as something that goes much further in life, where we should always respect its natural flow and never try to possess people. If we really care for them, we must set them free and respect their decisions. Otherwise it is just about ourselves and not about them, where every part will get even more hurt if something is not meant to be or last. We must learn to let go. I can tell this by experience and that is why this poem of yours especially speaks to me. Loved it!
