  2. This is so sad & yet so beautiful. Sometimes we see past our lovers’ imperfections because we love them, but putting on blinders to them is a recipe for disaster. Or a break-up, at least.

      1. Very true, Chris! I think part of loving someone is seeing their weaknesses/imperfections, & loving them anyway. Not ignoring their imperfections to the point of swearing they don’t exist. 🙂

    1. I think it is flattering to be seen how someone who doesn’t know you too well see you, and I think that’s how a lot of people fall into the trap of affairs, some people fall more in love with how the other person sees them as opposed to the other person! I think for someone to truly love you they must see all of you and accept and love the things you are, the things you are trying to be and the things you are not!

      1. I can take that one step farther. I’m pretty sure I liked/loved my son’s ex-girlfriend more than he did. The girl I saw would have been the perfect daughter-in-law/friend. The girl he knew, was different and they didn’t mesh well. Or, after a while, he realized that it wouldn’t work for the long haul. I still miss her.
